DESCRIPTION
Secrets of Venice is a traveling show of some of the most fascinating and least known places in Venice: a walking tour to discover routes and anecdotes narrated by an actor in theater.
"Secret Venice", its sixth year in 2017, is now a "cult" of the Venice Carnival.
Secrets in Venice, the walking show of the Carnival, takes its cue from a typical figure of the Venetian tradition. It's the "codega", the faithful servant equipped with lantern who in Venice in the fifteenth century used to accompany during the night with a lantern the nobles in the dark streets discouraging the bad guys and wowing the walk with anecdotes and stories. With Secrets in Venice the renewed "codega" will guide the participants - in this case, in the daytime - into a maze of mistery.
The journey starts passing by the church of San Zaccaria to meet one of the two bridges in the Venetian devil, the other is located in Torcello Island, the other within walking distance of the famous Basilica of San Marco, a place of temptation as the legend ... Since we will move them to see what damage it could cause the Devil to a dwelling and what remedies can be applied.
Going down then to Santa Maria Formosa field we can dwell in the Courtyard of Palazzo Grimani where often the Casanova found himself with few friends to tell or plan new spicy adventures. From there by sticking to the long Calle Santa Maria Formosa we will go to the Hospital of St. John and Paul, with a stop in the calle Moschette for an important lesson on the use of the fan and its secret messages.
We will conclude our journey between Devils and Sinners just in front of the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni e Paolo to closely observe the clear evidence of an incredible legend of love between mother and son.
An engaging and exciting event for the whole family, a different and unusual way to experience the Carnival of Venice breathing the authentic atmosphere of the town!
